FOTD: Raspberry Tart

On my face: Avon Magix illuminating face perfecter, Avon Ideal Flawless liquid foundation in Light Beige, Avon Ideal Shade concealer in Light/Medium, Avon Ideal Flawless pressed powder in Light

On my eyes: I used the Coastal Scents 252 ultimate eyeshadow palette for this look. I started with a shimmery raspberry color(hot pot color Raspberry Tart) on the inner 2/3 of my lid. Next I used a matte hot pink(hot pot color Vibrant Pink) on the outer 1/3 of my lid, in the crease and along the lower lash line. Then, I used a deep shimmery blackened berry(hot pot color Chocolate Berry) blended in the outer corner of the eye. I also used a shimmery off-white(hot pot color Polar Bare)along the brow bone and in the inner corners of my eyes. I lined my upper lash line and tightlined upper and lower lash lines with Avon Glimmersticks eye liner in Nocturnal. Then I finished the eyes with a couple of coats of Avon super Shock Max mascara in Black.

On the cheeks: I used the Coastal Scents 10 color blush palette and contoured a little with the last color in the bottom row(a light bronze color), then used the middle shade in the top row(a light lilac tinged pink) on the apple of my cheeks.

On the lips: I lined and filled in my lips with Avon Ultra Luxury lip liner in Rosebud, then topped that off with Avon Ultra Color Rich Brilliance lipstick in Aurora Rose

Review: Bare Minerals Prime Time- Oil Control Foundation Primer

I picked up this primer back in June because I have pretty oily skin and the primers that I had at the time weren't quite doing it for me. I wanted to find something without the slippery feel to it that so many primers have and something that would really mattify my skin so the girl at Sephora suggested this primer to me.

In the store I absolutely loved it when I tried it on my hand. It was a lightweight gel that dried pretty quickly and did not have the slippery feel that most silicone based primers have. When I got home and tried it on my face it was a whole different story. It took longer to dry on my face. In a couple of spots where I must not have blended it out well enough there were white powdery streaks across my skin. It also somehow managed to slip over my larger pores, tightening up the skin around them, so that when I put my foundation on the larger pores filled up with foundation and were then more noticeable than they are when I don't use any primer at all. This stuff also pulled off the feat of sucking all of the moisture out of my skin giving me big dry patches, and then I broke out.

Overall, I would not recommend this primer.
