More Avon Extra Lasting Eyeshadow Pencil Swatches!

I tried a couple of these shadow pencils when they first came out and absolutely LOVED them! So I got a couple more...and then a couple more...and then the rest of them, lol:-) So here are the swatches of the last 6 colors I bought. I really cannot say enough good things about these! They are great stand alone shadows, blend really well, and make excellent long wearing shadow bases for your powder shadows.

Aquamarine is a shimmery deep aqua color. Very dense, rich pigmentation for this color! If you follow me on Facebook you can see this color used in my sugar skull makeup for Halloween as the petals around my eyes(sidenote: I also used the Extra Lasting shadow pencil in Black Diamond all over the eye and layered colors from the True Color quad in Purple Pop on top, it turned out so good!).

Sapphire is a shimmery deep blue. I really love this one layered with the Purple Pop quad for a bluish-purple eye look.

Amethyst is less purple than I thought it would be, and more like a pretty shimmering mauve.

Smoky Plum is a nice shimmery plum with really good pigmentation.

Crystal Taupe is a light shimmery taupe. This color is a great neutral to have on hand for any skin tone.

Rich Cocoa surprised me when I opened and saw that it was actually matte! This neutral chocolate brown is the only one of the shadow pencils that doesn't have any shimmer to it.

I hope Avon expands this line and brings out more colors, and more matte shades!

I decided to do a look today inspired by the beautiful blue-purple look done for the Jason Wu A/W 2013 runway:-)



On the face: I used Avon Extra Lasting foundation in Light Nude, Extra lasting concealer in Fair, Ideal Flawless concealer in Light/Medium, and Ideal Flawless loose powder in Translucent

On the eyes: I used Avon Extra Lasting eyeshadow pencil in Sapphire, True Color eyeshadow quad in Purple Pop, Kohl eye liner in Deep Violet, Perfect Eyebrow kit in Deep Brown, and Super Shock Max mascara in Black

On the cheeks: I used mark. Bronze Pro in Bronzed, and Just Blushing in Afterglow

On the lips: I used Avon Ultra Glazewear lip gloss in Pale Peach

Avon Ultra Color Lipstick Swatches- Plums/Wines

Frostiest Mauve is a cool pinky lilac frosty shade.

Dream Fuchsia is a bright shimmery fuchsia, a little brighter and more shimmery than Fuchsia Fever.

Very Violet is a bright pinky purple with a cream finish.

Crush is a berry red with a satin finish.

Sangria is a pinky wine red with a satin finish.

Golden Berry is a sheer deep shimmering berry with fine golden glitter.

Wine With Everything is a wine red with a satin finish.

Vixen is a plum wine red with a creme finish.

Oxford Wine is a deep wine red with a satin finish.

Vamp is a blackened plum with a satin finish.

FOTD: Bronze and Plum Smokey Eye + Orange Lip

ON THE EYES: I used Avon Extra Lasting eyeshadow pencil in Topaz Shimmer as a base from the lash line to the crease, and along the lower lash line. Then I used the darker shade from the True Color shadow duo in Warm Cashmere over the same area. I used the lighter color from the duo on my brow bones and inner corner of the eyes. Next I used color #3 from the True Color quad in Chocolate Sensation and smudged it into the outer corners of the upper and lower lash lines. Then I took the True Color single in Plum Burgundy and blended that into the outer corner and up into the crease. I lined the outer corner of both upper and lower lash lines with Super Shock gel liner, and used kohl liner in Deep Violet on my water line. I finished with a coat of Mega Effects mascara in Black.

ON THE CHEEKS: I used mark. Bronze Pro in Bronze, with just a little Fiji Paradise all over face powder in Tropical Sunrise.

ON THE LIPS: I used Ultra Color lipstick in Tangerine Tango.

Avon Ultra Color Lipstick Swatches- Roses/Peaches

Demure is a light peachy nude with a creme finish.

Silky Peach is a shimmery peach shade.

Sheer Nectar is a soft coral with a hint of shimmer.

Enduring Sable is a shimmery orange with fine golden glitter. This one you can kind of feel the glitter on your lips, and it will leave golden glitter behind when you wipe it off.

Frozen Rose is a light sheer shimmery pink, with golden shimmer.

Toasted Rose is a light neutral pink with a creme finish. This pink will look good on anyone.

Rosewine is a peachy pink with a satin finish.

Spiced Apricot is a soft peachy red with a satin finish.

Berry Bright is a bright berry pink with a satin finish.

Avon Ultra Color Lipstick Swatches- Nudes/Browns

Blush Nude is a warm nude pink with a creme finish.

Canela Nacar is a shimmery nude.

Bronze Treasure is a medium warm brown with fine bronze shimmer in it.

Cashmere is a warm medium nude with a satin finish.

Rich Plum is a chocolate-y brown with a hint of plum, and a satin finish.

Brown Suede is a milk chocolate brown with a satin finish.

Rich Chocolate is a shimmery chocolate brown with fine silver glitter in it. This one you can actually feel the glitter on your lips when you rub them together, and when you wipe it off it will leave silver glitter behind.

Buttered Rum is a warm reddish brown with a satin finish.

Iced Cocoa is a warm chocolate brown with a shimmery finish.

Deluxe Chocolate is a deep chocolate brown with a satin finish. This one looks kind of scary in the tube because it's so dark, but it actually ended up being one of my favorite shades. I think if you like vampy looks this will look amazing for a Fall vamp lip.

Proper Pink is a very pale, cool toned pink with a creme finish.

Twinkle Pink is a light neutral pink with a hint of shimmer.

Carnation is a light peachy pink with a satin finish.

Tender Kiss is a medium peachy pink with a shimmery finish.

Country Rose is similar to Tender Kiss, just a couple shades darker.

Pink Dream is a medium neutral pink with a shimmery finish.

Hibiscus is a bright coral-y pink with a creme finish.

Beyond Pink is a bright medium warm pink with a satin finish.

Fuchsia Fever is a fuchsia with fine fuchsia shimmer in it.

Hot Pink is just what the name implies, a hot pink with a creme finish.

Avon Extra Lasting Eyeshadow Pencils

I am LOVING these new shadow pencils! They are long lasting. I can make it through an entire day, roughly 14 hours from the time I put it on until I wash it off, with very little creasing(and I have oily lids) and no fading. All of the colors have a shimmery finish. They take a few minutes to set, which is nice since it gives you time to apply and blend however you want, and once it sets it stays in place. These work really well on their own or as a shadow base to make your shadows more vibrant and long lasting.
